Research

The research of the Systems Biology Lab focuses on variable selection and gene network inference from various biological datasets.

Our biases (though we do not limit ourselves to those) are:

mutual information,
Next-Gen Sequencing data,
microalgae,
R/Bioconductor.

See head of the lab's publications list

Software and Hardware

MINet

MINet stands for Mutual Information Networks.
It is a Bioconductor package for inferring networks from expression data (using mutual information).
Prof. Patrick E. Meyer is maintainer of the package.

infotheo

infotheo is an R package that allows to compute various mutual information measures.
Prof. Patrick E. Meyer is maintainer of the package.

BotaBot Lab

The bioautomation/robotics lab
also (co-)launched and (co-)directed by Prof. Patrick E. Meyer.

NetBenchmark was a Bioconductor Package for benchmarking network inference methods.
with Dr. Pau Bellot as maintainer of the package.
